Remote Sales Representative: Library Books

Locally owned, established company is hiring Sales Representatives to work from home. You must complete your training in person at our office in North Mankato, but will be able to work from home once training is complete.

MidAmerica Sales Reps are responsible for selling library books to both new and current customers. You will sell directly to schools and libraries across the US, reaching out via phone and email to build relationships with them, and find the right products to fill their needs.

Professional communication and customer service skills are a must. Successful cadidates are self-starting, goal-focused, good at multitasking and prioritizing, and excel at managing time effectively. Prior experience working in a school or library setting is very helpful. Previous experience working from home is also helpful.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

• Source new sales opportunities through out-bound cold calls and emails.
• Understand customer needs and requirements, helping customers find the right books for their library collection.
• Maintain and expand your database of customers through cold-calling and repeat sales.

Skills Needed

• Basic computer skills
• Sales experience
• Self-Motivated and able to work independently
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Compensation and Benefits: Pay includes an hourly base pay + commission and incentive pay. The harder you work, the more money you make.

Part-time or full-time positions are available. Part-Time hours are flexible, but generally 8 am to 3 pm.

Full-Time hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm, (weekdays only) with Fridays off during the summer months.
